In an industry first, Tata Docomo today announced an innovative value-added offering, video ringtones service, Vringo, for its GSM customers across circles.

This service is a milestone in the category as this is the first time customers can set a video in a form of ringtone.

To avail this service, customers are required to register for the service by visiting http://tatadocomo.vringo.com on their phone's mobile browser, which will then become their homepage for managing the video ringtone collection.

Once customers have successfully registered for the service, they can immediately dig in and start searching for new video ringtones  for their Vringo service. Post registration, customers will see a series of Vringo categories to browse video ringtones. When they like a Vringo, they can just click and ''download'' it.

''Video ringtone is definitely a zing thing that will entice our GSM customers instead of the boring audio ringtone,'' says Anjan Patole, chief operating officer, Mumbai Circle, Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Limited.

Patole says, ''Vringo is first ever service in Indian industry and the first with Tata Docomo. This innovative and exciting service will give our customers the freedom to choose a video from vast library and collection of videos available.''
