Telenor India pilots 4G in Warangal

Telenor India has launched the pilot phase of high speed 4G services for its customers in Warangal, following the successful testing of the services across its six circles in Varanasi.
''With 100 per cent sites being ready in the city with advanced equipment and efficient spectral deployment, the company is geared up to offer superior speed and better experience at affordable price. Our 4G plans are very cost effective and provide best deal to customers in this market,'' said Shrinath Kotian, Circle Business Head – AP&TS, Telenor India.
''In addition to this, the network is energy efficient and much more reliable. This makes Telenor network one of the best in the city both on voice and data services. We have plans to pilot more cities in the state very soon and stand committed to our promise of full paisa vasool,'' he added.
The high speed 4G data packs comes at seven different price point starting from Rs85 to Rs249. The Rs85 voucher offers 500MB 4G data with a 21-day validity, while Rs149 offers 1 GB 4G data and all local and STD calls at 25 paise per minute the validity of 28 days.
For high end data users, company has launched a Rs249 voucher which offers 2GB 4G data and all local calls and STD calls at 25 paise per minute with the validity of 28 days.
Customers can avail this offer by walking into any of the fully functional Telenor branded stores in Warangal and few selected retail outlets.
For its new subscribers, Telenor has introduced special tariff voucher (STV) of Rs189 which offers Rs40 talktime, 1 GB 4G data and all Local & STD calls at 25 paise per minute with the validity of 28 days.
Telenor announced the modernisation of its entire network in 2015 which should be completed by 2017.
Over 10,000 of the total network sites have already been modernised as of now. In Jharkhand of the 1,203 sites, 1,017 have already been modernised with new equipment.
