Tata Motors February sales up 45 per cent

Mumbai: Tata Motors Ltd has registered a 45.5 per cent increase in sales of vehicles including exports at 30,801 units in February 2004 as compared to the same month last year.

Cumulative sales of vehicles during the April 2003-February 2004 period were higher by 45.4 per cent at 2,79,543 units compared to 1,92,318 in February 2003.

Light commercial vehicle sales during the month were at 4,604 units (2,984) and cumulative sales were at 43,502 vehicles, an increase of 50.7 per cent.

Medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales were at 10,707 units, higher by 31 per cent. Cumulative sales were at 90,977 units (65,322).
