Volkswagen hikes Polo and Vento prices 2.27 per cent

Car maker Volkswagen today said it would hike prices of its Polo hatchback and Vento sedan by up to 2.27 per cent effective today.
With the increase in prices, the Polo would now be priced between Rs4.92 lakh and Rs7.08 lakh, while the Vento would be priced Rs7.32 and Rs9.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
"Volkswagen today announced the increase in prices of its volume carlines the Polo and Vento effective today. The increase in prices comes against the backdrop of additional features incorporated in both the carlines," the company said in a statement.
The Polo and Vento would now come with features like advanced music system with bluetooth, USB and 'climatronic' air conditioner among others.
"These car lines will see an increase in prices up to 2.27 per cent," Volkswagen said.
Commenting on the increase, Volkswagen passenger cars managing director Arvind Saxena said, the company's aim had always been to give its customers a good value proposition and once again it was glad to be able to offer a good reason for them to buy these carlines.
