Virtusa appoints Jagdish Bapat as HR ditrector of its ATC in Hyderabad

Mumbai: Virtusa Corporation, a global provider of software development and related IT services, announced the appointment of Jagdish Bapat as director, HR, at its advanced technology centre (ATC) in Hyderabad. Prior to joining Virtusa, Bapat was director HR, Mascon Communications Technologies in Bangalore.
Paula Cassidy, global VP of HR at Virtusa, said, "We are delighted to have Jagdish as our new director (HR)." She added, "He brings with him the well-rounded business experience of 20 years, including 14 years in HR and six years in sales and marketing in MNCs as well as reputed Indian companies. Virtusa currently has over 1,900 employees world wide and is growing rapidly. Working closely with the global HR team, Jagdish will be responsible for all HR functions in Hyderabad, including staffing, HR services, training and development and logistics."
An alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences where he did his personnel management, Jagdish has served in several Indian companies and MNCs such as LGSoft, Hindustan Lever, Fujitsu ICIM, Alfa Laval, Pfizer and Telco. He has a passion for conducting training programmes and has conducted over 500 programmes till date.
