Wipro posts 10.43-% rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,456.4 crore

Wipro Ltd posted a 10.43 per cent rise in consolidated net profit of Rs1,456.4 crore for the quarter ended 31 December, 2011, driven mainly by contributions from the information technology services business.
The company, posted a net profit of Rs1,318.8 crore for thes ame period of the previous financial year, it said in statement.
India's third-largest IT exporter expects revenues from IT services for January-March quarter to be in the range of $1,520 million to $1,550 million, registering a 1.3 per cent sequential growth.
Wipro continues to see growth in the cloud enablement business, outcome-based and service-based pricing models, it said.
The IT firm's total income on a consolidated basis rose to Rs10,212.1 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs8,004.4 crore posted during the same period a year ago, it said in a statement to the BSE.
Wipro, which is also listed on the New York Stock Exchange, services clients including Citigroup, Cisco and Credit Suisse.
