Wipro's 'global command centre' bags Nasscom's IT innovation award

Wipro Technologies, the global services division of Wipro Ltd, has announced that its remote managed infrastructure delivery solution, the 'global command centre' (GCC), has been awarded Nasscom's IT innovation award for 2005.
Nasscom's IT innovation initiative is a quest for the most imaginative, "out-of-the-box" product, service and framework ideas in the Indian IT and BPO industry and aims to catalyse the process of technology advancement and development of original IP in the management services.
The Company's GCC was chosen for the award after a rigorous selection process that involved short listing 20 companies from a long list of over 140 entries. The company's solution was chosen as a winner after extensive presentations to the jury comprising of industry experts and leaders.
