Kejriwal , supporters arrested on way to PM's house

Arvind Kejriwal, who founded a new political party this month, was today arrested along with his supporters during a protest march in Delhi that was heading towards the residence of the prime minister.
The demonstrators were demanding the removal of law minister Salman Khurshid for alleged financial malpractices by an NGO that he headed and which was meant to help special-needs people in his home state of Uttar Pradesh.
Kejriwal wanted the PM to meet differently-abled people today, however he was not offered an appointment.
NDTV cited sources in the prime minister's office as saying that the request for the meeting was made this morning, and that the PM had a full day.
According to Kejriwal, the law minister needed to either step down or be fired because a sting carried on a Hindi news channel earlier this week proved large-scale embezzlement of funds by his NGO.
The channel claimed that the NGO, which was being run by Khurshid's wife, forged signatures of government officials to attest that the funds were being used as intended. Khurshid, though has denied the charges.
