Heads of top US, UK, Japanese banks to meet in London

Heads of leading banks from Japan, Europe and the United States will meet in London, on 24 March, to discuss financial sector regulation close on the heels of a meeting of finance ministers and central bankers from the Group of 20 nations on March 13-14 in Sussex, England.
Chiefs of leading financial institutions, including US-based JPMorgan Chase and Co, Japan's Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group and British bank HSBC, have been invited to the meeting being hosted by the UK government, the Nikkei economic daily said.
The meeting falls between two planned summits of the G-20 – on 13-14 March and 2 April.
The main agenda at the summit of finance ministers and central bankers from the G-20 nations will be the state of the world economy and financial system.
The summit will also discuss the problems of central and eastern Europe as also the need for more funding for the International Monetary Fund and a crackdown on tax havens.
