TTK Prestige enters induction stove production

TTK Prestige Ltd today announced the launch of a new range of induction stoves, which the company said, are very safe and are more energy efficient.
These stoves, which have no flame, require pressure cookers and cookware with a special base that is induction compatible.
TTK Prestige is launching a whole new range of pressure cookers and cookware that are induction compatible, the company said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
TTK Prestige said it is using imported machinery for manufacturing induction-compatible pressure cookers and cookware. These products could also be used on conventional gas stoves and hobs, the release said.
TTK Prestige Limited, the largest provider of kitchen appliances in the country, reported fiscal third quarter (October-December 2010-11) sales of Rs149.20 crore against Rs127.81 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The company posted a pre-tax profit of Rs22.12 crore compared with Rs8.79 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year - a profit growth of 151 per cent year-on-year.
