Pritish Nandy Communications join hands with DQE for animation and live action movies

Entertainment company, Pritish Nandy Communications (PNC) has entered into a joint venture animation, gaming and film production company, DQ Entertainment (DQE), for a producing six movies.
Both companies would invest around Rs200 crore to make the animation movies and live action movies, which will be developed in the next four to five years.
Each project will be separately announced once the global co-production budgets are closed, PNC said.
This is the company's second investment in the animation segment after its tie up with Motion Pixel to develop several projects.
The animation films will be based on Indian mythology-based stories, some of which have already been created by PNC as well as remake of Bollywood classics for today's audiences in an animated format. PNC would also convert these animation movies into comic books.
The companies are also looking at making live action movies.
DQ Entertainment, based in Andhra Pradesh has seven operating facilities in India and one in the Philippines. The company has a workforce of around 3,000 people.
