Gitanjali scouting for brand valuation agency

Jewellery retailing and manufacturing company, Gitanjali Gems plans to evaluate its brands Gitanjali, Sangini, Diya and Gianti store to take stock of the consumer acceptability of the brands.
The valuation agency has not been chosen yet but the pick is between KPMG and Brand Fianance, reports Business Standard.
Gitanjali had evaluated its brands Gili, Nakshatra, D'Damas and Asmi in October 2009. The valuer for the jewellery major then was UK based Brand Finance.
KPMG has never valued a jewellert brand earlier but had prepared a report on the industry in India two years earlier.
The brands under the Gitanjali fold include Nakshatra, Gili, Sangini, Lucera, D'Damas, Asmi, Diya, Rosato and others.
