Yuva relaunched as lifestyle magazine
17 Oct 2008
Yuva takes a new shape from November. The youth-centric tabloid, launched in August 2007, will be re-launched as a lifestyle magazine.
The relaunch will be a two phases. In the first phase, the Mumbai and Delhi bureaus will be launched. During the second phase, bureaus in Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh will begin operations.
The name Yuva will be retained but the magazine will be relaunched from tabloid to a regular A4-sized magazine. This decision was taken after a survey was conducted to understand the youth's preferences.
The magazine will consist of 80 pages and during the initial phase, 70 per cent will be dedicated to editorial content and the rest will cater to advertisers. A new editor will be appointed and a team is being finalised.
The focus of the magazine will remain the same, within the age group of 18 to 32 years. It will have regular sections, including current affairs, lifestyle, entertainment, investigative and research based stories.
However the periodicity has not been decided. With the new identity, Yuva is aiming at pan India reach. Around 10,000 copies of the first issue will be printed.
