Smartphones have got dirt cheap as Bangalore-based Namotel Company is offering Namotel Acche Din at as low a price as Rs99, and claims it has most features of the best smart phones in the world.
Namotel Acche Din, which is named after PM Narendra Modi and tagged with the BJP's catchline Ache Din, may not be competing with Freedom 251, which is priced higher, but costs less.
However, to be eligible to buy the handset, customers will have to register on bemybanker.com, which will provide user credentials, which will then have to be used while registering for the phone on the Namotel website.
To become a member of bemybanker.com, users are supposed to pay a one-time membership fee of Rs199.
The cost of the smart phone thus goes up to Rs298 and, in the process, another website also gets promoted. The relationship between the two companies is, however, uncertain.
Another condition for obtaining the phone is that buyers should have an Aadhar card.
Key features of the Namotel Acche Dsmartphone:
- Features a 4-inch display;
- Runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and has a 1325 mAh battery;
- Device is powered by 1.3GHz quadcore processor along with 1 GB RAM;
