One Chinese firm bids for Rampur hydro power project

Only one joint venture company of two Chinese firms has submitted its bid for electro-mechanical works of Rampur Hydro-electric Project in Himachal Pradesh had submitted its bid union power minister Sushil Kumar Shinde informed the Lok Sabha today.

Shinde said that the Chinese firms that had submitted their bids to the Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited, the implementing agency of the Rampur Hydro-electric Project, were Harbin Power Engineering Company and Harbin Electric Machinery Company Ltd.

The minister informed the house that matters relating to security concerns had been deliberated at an inter-ministerial meeting with security agencies.
