The summit, to be organised by Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), would also highlight the benefits of outsourcing work to India, according to former US Ambassador to India Frank G Wisner.
Wisner, who was the immediate past chairman and a director of the India-US Business Council, also said at the curtain raiser function organised by IACC that the focus of the summit is on how India can enhance profitabilities of large global corporations.
IACC-West India Council regional president Farokh Balsara says: "outsourcing is an area that has generated tremendous interest, especially in the Indo-US business corridor. We believe that outsourcing will continue to play a critical role in the globalisation of the world economy."
GOOS 2004 is focused on presenting a balanced and incisive view on outsourcing industry and to create a platform through which one-to-one business dialogue would be facilitated, he says.
The summit is an attempt at creating a space in which the business process outsourcing industry comes together in a forum meant exclusively for it, he added.
