Aruna Tadanki joins Yahoo! India as MD

Yahoo! India has appointed 38-year-old Arun Tadanki, as managing director. He will be responsible for expanding and consolidating business also in sub continental Asia, Middle East and Africa.
Before this, Tadanki was president-Asia-Pacific and Middle East, Monster.com.
The position of the managing director at Yahoo! India was lying vacant since August 2007 when the previous MD of the company, George Zacharias quit the firm.
Tadanki will be responsible for expanding and consolidating business in India as well as sub-continental Asia, Middle East and Africa, Yahoo! India said in a statement.
Tadanki was an early pioneer on the internet, joining JobsAhead.com in 2000 as head of sales and marketing.
Prior to joining JobsAhead.com, Tadanki worked at Nestle India. He was initially hired by Nestle India as a management trainee, and over the course of eight years, worked in various positions and rose to head of the culinary business.
Tadanki graduated from the India Institute of Technology Madras in mechanical engineering and received an MBA at the India Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
India Today had named Tadanki as one of the ''Top 50 Young Leaders of India'' in 2005 and Business Today named him as one of the ''Top 25 Hottest Young Executives in India'' in 2004.
