Sacked Rajasthan minister Mahipal Maderna and Congress MLA Malkhan Singh Bishnoi were yesterday named as the main accused by the CBI, in the second charge sheet filed in the Bhanwari Devi case. They have been charged with abduction and murder.
The 97-page supplementary charge sheet was filed in a jam-packed CBI court in Jodhpur, in which Maderna, Malkhan and seven others have been charged under Sections 302 (murder), 120 (B) (criminal conspiracy), 364 (abduction), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence or giving false information to screen offender) of IPC and SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Amarchand, husband of Bhanwari Devi, too has been charged under the same sections though not for murder and offenses under the SC / ST Act.
The charge sheet names seven others including Sahiram Bishnoi, Parasram Bishnoi, Umesharam Bishnoi, Bishnaram Bishnoi, Kailash Jakhar, Ashok Bishnoi and Omprakash Bishnoi.
