Chintamani Rao replaces Les Margulis as president, RK Swamy Media Group

Chintamani Rao, former vice chairman of Times Global Broadcasting, has been appointed president, RK Swamy Media Group / Media Direction.
He replaces Les Margulis, who recently stepped down to move to Australia.
An alumnus of Xaviers Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Rao started off as an account executive. He held management positions with RK Swamy BBDO, Ogilvy, MAA Bozell and McCann Erickson.
His stint with Universal McCann, now Lodestar Universal, marked his entry into the media domain from creative. He was also the president, integrated communications, at McCann Worldgroup.
Rao has worked as CEO with `India Today' for three years, apart from the Times Broadcasting group, where he was also an advisor to Times Private Treaties of the Times Group, before his recent retirement from the group.
Margulis will continue with the agency till mid-July.
