Deepak Chatterjee appointed MD, SBI Funds Management Pvt. Ltd

Mumbai: Deepak Chatterjee has been appointed as the new managing director of SBI Mutual Fund investment management arm, SBI Funds Management Pvt. Ltd, with effect from 13 January 2011.
He was earlier general manager, financial institutions group, in SBI, handling fund raising for SBI outside India, country risk and bank exposures.
Chatterjee has over 32 years of banking experience with SBI in senior functions as executive vice president and head of the New Delhi Regional Office of SBI Capital Markets Ltd., senior vice president and group head of project at SBI Capital Markets Ltd. and AGM and head, commercial branch, at New Delhi.
