HDFC Bank appoints Daiwa's Ajay Marwaha to head treasury trading

Mumbai: HDFC Bank has appointed Ajay Marwaha as executive vice president and head, trading, in the treasury department, reporting to Ashish Parthasarthy, Treasurer, HDFC Bank.
Marwaha will be in charge of interbank foreign exchange and bullion desk, interest rate trading, inter-bank derivatives, institutional sales and overseas business (Treasury).

He joins HDFC Bank from Daiwa, India, where he was managing director and head - fixed income currencies and commodities (FICC), where he set up and managed the FICC platform in India and rupee-linked FICC activities from Singapore. Marwaha has also worked with Standard Chartered Bank, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Lehman Brothers and Nomura Securities.
Marwaha, a bachelor of engineeing from Mumbai University and an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, has 17 years of experience.
