HSBC India appoints Sunil Sanghai as MD, head of global banking

HSBC India today announced the appointment of Sunil Sanghai as managing director and head of global banking for HSBC in India.
Sanghai joins from Goldman Sachs where he was managing director, co-head, investment banking, India.
Speaking on the appointment Stuart Davis, CEO, India, HSBC, said ''Sanghi's experience will add to our coverage and management depth, and help us further develop our global banking capabilities and franchise in line with the HSBC Group's emerging markets-led and financing-focused strategy.''
Global banking is responsible for the overall management of relationships with major corporate and institutional clients.
A chartered accountant by profession, Sanghai had joined Goldman Sachs in 2006. Prior to that, he was with JM Morgan Stanley, a joint venture between JM Financial and Morgan Stanley, based in Mumbai and Singapore.
Sanghai's experience includes managing key client relationships and originating mandates from large Indian corporates, state-owned government organisations, banks, financial institutions and multinational clients.
