IDFC Announces Appointment of Chetan Dave as President and CEO of Real Estate Investments

IDFC today said it had appointed Chetan Dave as president and CEO of real estate investments, responsible for building and developing a portfolio of infrastructure-focused real estate assets and a real estate private equity funds management business.
Dave, who has over 19 years of experience in the real estate sector spanning private equity, investments, development and design, will also serve on IDFC's management committee.
Prior to joining IDFC, he was the founding manging director and CEO of then the largest real estate private equity fund in India, Sun Apollo Real Estate Advisors, responsible for raising the fund and establishing the business in India.
Prior to founding Sun Apollo, Dave was chief investment officer at the Houston-based Transwestern, leading a national principal investment and development business.
Earlier, he was a principal with JPMorgan Parters in New York for seven years focusing on private equity and real estate investments throughout United States. He has also served on the investment committee of Peabody Global Real Estate Fund.
Prior to joining the financial services sector, Dave was a practicing architect for several years and designed numerous commercial and institutional projects in eastern United States.
He has served as a Board member of several investee companies and is a member of Urban Land Institute, Member of the Board of Trustees of American School of Bombay, past member of American Institute of Architects, Pension Real Estate Association and executive committee, ULI Houston District Council.
