Joseph Eapen quits as CEO Media Research Users Council

Joseph Eapen, chief executive officer, Media Research Users Council (MRUC) has put in his papers at the organisation. He had joined the council as CEO in April 2010.
Before joining MRUC, Eapen was the CEO of aMap, a television audience measurement agency. At MRUC, his mandate was to expand the council's scope of research beyond print and outdoor and scale the quality and quantity of research across different media.
Eapen has 18 years of experience in media research in India and abroad and has carried out extensive research in print, television and radio, as well as other consumer research programmes.
MRUC, incorporated in 1994, is a registered not-for-profit body of members drawn from major advertisers, advertising agencies, publishers, and broadcast / other media. With nearly 200 members, the council ensures that users have valid, timely and cost-effective audience assessment on media.
