Keith Alphonso joins UTV as business head, Bindass

UTV Broadcasting has announced the appointment of Keith Alphonso as business head for its youth channel, Bindass. 

Alphonso replaces Nikhil Gandhi, who was the business head for Bindass so far. Gandhi, meanwhile, has been appointed the business head for UTV's upcoming mass speciality channel. He will also continue as the ad sales head for the entire network.

In his new role, Alphonso he will report to M K Anand, CEO, broadcasting, UTV. 

Prior to joining Bindass, he was with Zoom, where he spent over two years in the ad sales function. Alphonso has more than 15 years of experience in media business management, and has been with the broadcast entertainment industry for seven years. 

In the past, he has worked on brands such as The Times of India and MTV.

UTV is looking to add three more channels to its existing bouquet, including two movie channels and the mass speciality channel in 2011.
