Laloo Prasad firmly behind Sonia
06 Oct 2012
Whatever may be the outcome of Trinamool Congress chief and Bengal's chief minister Mamata Banerjee's attempts to pull down the government through a no-confidence motion, it seems clear that the Rashtriya Janata Dal, lead by former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, will firmly support the Congress-led government.
Laloo Prasad today lashed out at social activist and newly-formed politician Arvind Kejriwal for alleging that Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son in-law Robert Vadra had amassed huge wealth through underhand realty deals.
"Kejriwal is doing it (raising this issue) to get cheap publicity," he told reporters in Begulsarai, an important town of Bihar.
It is not the first time that the RJD leader has rallied behind the Congress, even though his party no longer has a direct say in the union government.
