Lynn de Souza to head the newly consolidated Lintas Media Group

Lintas India's Lynn de Souza, director, Media Services, has been promoted to chairman and chief executive officer Lintas Media Group (LMG), effective from May 2008. She will will report to the CEO of Lowe Worldwide Stephen Gatfield
Lintas says de Souza was the obvious choice, thanks to her experience of working in LMG's specialised division since 2004.
Prior to the appointment de Souza had been overseeing seven specialised media divisions such as Initiative Media, Insight, Interactions, Intellect, Digital Initiatives, Media Futures and Second Opinion. These units have been recently consolidated into Lintas Media Group.
To gain brand momentum, Lintas felt that it was necessary to drop the the brand names of the specialised divisions in favour of Lintas, which was a far bigger and stronger brand name. The specialised divisions, which operated independently under the LMG umbrella provided media consultancy and solutions to advertisers and media houses.
de Souza has played a major role in setting up Lintas India's knowledge management system, Owle's World. Initiative Media, one of the country's first media agencies was introduced and built by her. She has 24 years of experience in media and integrated communication andalso worked at O&M and headed the media services business at Trikaya Grey.
