West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today voiced support to the demands of anti-corruption activists led by Gandhian Anna Hazare saying that fresh general elections were needed in the country since the ''minority government'' had no right to rule.

"I saw on TV that people from Team Anna said the government had lost its credibility to remain in power and there is a need to go to polls. I fully agree with them," Banerjee said at a press conference in Kolkata.

"This is a minority government and it is threatening others through CBI and vigilance and enforcement departments," she said.

She said no party, either Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party or the AIADMK is willing to join the government despite the Congress's appeals.

''No party joined the ministry. Is it no confidence against the government? Enough is enough,'' she said.

A new-look Team Anna, which included former Army chief V K Singh had yesterday mounted a scathing attack on the UPA government and had sought immediate dissolution of Parliament, which, it said, was acting against the Constitution.
