Mercer India appoints Padma Ravichander as new managing director

Global compensation consulting firm Mercer hass announced the appointment of Padma Ravichander as the new managing director, Mercer India.
Ravichander will be based in Bangalore.
Ravichander joins Mercer from Perot Systems, where she served as the president and managing director for India and Asia Pacific. She has held several leadership positions with Oracle, HP and MCI Canada in the past.
"This appointment marks yet another step to augment our increasing focus in Asia," said Guo Xin, Mercer's deputy head of Asia Pacific.
"The Indian economy as we have seen it is at the cusp of another phase of hyper growth and this has resulted in unique human capital challenges," said Guo Xin, Mercer's deputy head of Asia. "Companies are increasingly looking to us to advise them on addressing the challenges with talent management, the diverse labour market and changing legislation around benefits. Padma with her expertise and vast experience in consulting and technology will not only help us in identifying the needs of the Indian market but also in developing an overarching go-to-market strategy and customised solutions to address these needs," said Guo Xin.
