New Delhi: India's representative to the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Naseem Zaidi, has been nominated to take over the reigns of the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). His nomination by the ministry of civil aviation is subject to the approval by the Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet.
Naseem Zaidi will succeed Kanu Gohain, and is presently a joint secretary posted at the ICAO. He is an Uttar Pradesh cadre officer of 1976 batch. Zaidi was elected to the ICAO last year.
