Rantisi to head Hamas in Gaza
Gaza City: Abdel Aziz Rantisi has been chosen to be the new leader of Hamas in Gaza following the assassination of the militant group's founder, Sheik Ahmed Yassin.
Khaled Mashaal will continue to head the group's political bureau, the main decision-making body.Hamas, along with the PLO, is currently engaged in a war of attrition against the Jewish state of Israel.

Rahul Gandhi to contest from Amethi
New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi, son of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, will make his electoral debut, contesting the Lok Sabha election from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.
Sonia Gandhi, who had won from Amethi in the last elections, will contest from Rae Bareilli. Their names have been announced in the third list of 31 candidates released by the Congress party.
