Nupur Mitra is Dena Bank's new chairperson and managing director

Nupur Mitra has taken charge as chairperson and managing director of Dena Bank with effect from 1 November 2011, from D L Rawal, who retired on 31 October 2011.
Mitra has extensive executive and board level experience across wide spectrum of banking arena. Her former roles include executive director, Indian Overseas Bank, and in various capacities at Bank of India, which includes a stint heading the European operations from London.
A strong votary of support to the MSME segment, she says that lending to small and medium businesses is a safe bet.
