Raja’s private secretary Chandolia granted bail in 2G case

A special CBI court in Delhi today granted bail to R K Chandolia, the erstwhile personal secretary of jailed former telecom minister A Raja, in the 2G spectrum case despite the CBI's opposition to his release on bail.
Chandolia has been released on a personal bond of Rs3 lakh and two sureties of a like amount.
With this, all the 12 arrested in the 2G spectrum case except Raja and former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura are out on bail.
Chandolia, who was arrested on 2 February on charges of conspiracy and criminal misconduct in his alleged role in the 2G spectrum case, has been in jail since then.
The court also observed that charges have been framed against Chandolia only for the offence of conspiracy and criminal misconduct.
''The bail application is allowed,'' special CBI Judge O P Saini said, accepting Chandolia's bail plea.
