Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, has invested in e-ticketing company Kyazoonga in his personal capacity. The company, however, did not disclose the details of the funding or the total amount it has raised to date.

Tata has made investments in over 25 startups in the last two years, including online marketplace Snapdeal, digital wallet provider Paytm, cab hailing service Ola, data analytics company Tracxn Technologies, online pet supplies store Dogspot.in and online lingerie store Zivame.

"As we scale Kyazoonga into a global enterprise, glad to know he shares in the excitement of our mission of 'Tickets made simple for everyone, everywhere'," Kyazoonga chief executive and co-founder Neetu Bhatia said.

The company will continue to focus its efforts on the large potential for paid access that India represents and push the envelope on significant global opportunities, she added.

Kyazoonga has ticketed major international events, including the ICC Cricket World Cup in three countries, the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, SAFF Cup, bilateral international cricket matches and domestic tournaments like the Indian Premier League and the Pro Kabaddi League, Nehru Cup, among others.

Apart from India, Kyazoonga has ticketing operations in the UAE, the US, and the Caribbean.
