Subhasis Sarkar joins Absolute Hotel Services India as regional director, sales

Absolute Hotel Services India has appointed Subhasis Sarkar as the regional director of sales.
Sarkar will take over from 1 June, 2011, said Mark Heather, regional managing director, Absolute Hotel Services India.
''With years of experience in the hospitality industry, Sarkar has a very strong background in sales, business development and customer relations. He has implemented many successful solicitation strategies to targeted customers that meet and exceed revenue goals,'' said Heather.
As regional director of sales, he will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sales activities, setting up the strategy to drive sales revenue, managing existing clients as well as expanding the client base.
Sarkar's mandate at Absolute Hotel Services includes all the hotels and resorts under the company's management including U Hotels & Resorts, Eastin Hotels & Residences and Eastin Easy as well as other non-branded hotels.
With more than 17 years of experience in sales and business development, he has worked with The Orchid Hotel Mumbai, Jaypee Hotels Limited, The Park Hotels Group and Choice Hotels International.
Sarkar has a bachelor degree in sociology and political science from North Bengal University.
