Datamatics appoints H Khorakiwala, Dr Uday Salunkhe as independent directors

Khorakiwala is the chairman of the Rs12-billion Wockhardt Group whose flagship company Wockhardt is a pharmaceutical major and a front-runner in biotechnology. He is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, and holds a masters degree in pharmaceutical science from Purdue University, USA.
An Ernst & Young ''entrepreneur of the year'' in healthcare and lifesciences in 2004, Khorakiwala is also the vice president of FICCI and a member of the ''national manufacturing competitiveness council'' set up by prime minister Manmohan Singh.
Prof. Dr Salunkhe is the director of Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research ranked twelfth among business schools in India by the Outlook-C''Fore Survey 2005. Dr Salunkhe is a mechanical engineer and has a PhD in management. He had earlier worked with M&M and ISPL.
