Turner promotes Troy Lobo South Asia director for wireless content development and distribution

Turner International India Pvt. Ltd has promoted Troy Lobo to director of Wireless, Interactive Content Development and Distribution for South Asia region.
A division of Time Warner, Turner International India Pvt. Ltd. is the arm of Turner Broadcasting System. Inc. (TBS) that manages the sales and marketing of Turner's news and entertainment services in India and South Asia
Based in Mumbai, Lobo directly reports to Siddharth Jain, vice president and deputy general manager – Distribution & Business Operations, South Asia, Turner International India Private Limited (TIIPL), and is responsible for driving mobile and interactive platforms for the portfolio of Turner's news (CNN) and entertainment brands (Cartoon Network, POGO and WB).
Lobo joined Turner International in 2005 as associate director and was promoted to head of wireless and interactive in 2008. During his tenure, he was instrumental in driving strategic partnerships that grew the division. Lobo spearheaded the launch of CNN and Cartoon Network as the first international news and kids channels on Mobile TV in India and Sri Lanka, development of mobile content including games in India and launch of the first Cartoon Network mobile WAP site in Asia Pacific region.
In his new role, Lobo will manage and oversee operations of the in-country mobile sites, games development and publishing for mobile and TV, video-on-demand services and On-line platform content distribution. He will also assist the regional team in developing new games, applications, services across various Digital and Interactive platforms.
Turner International has been engaged in the digital environment since 1999 and has been a pioneer in offering branded 'new media' content including CNN and Cartoon Network across different platforms including cable, DTH, mobile, internet, IPTV and interactive TV to enhance audience viewing experience.
Moving ahead in its mission to ensure availability of its content across multiple platforms, Turner has made several innovative efforts in the Wireless and Broadband space in India such as video-on-demand, downloadable mobile content and live streaming such as near Live streaming of CNN on GSM and CDMA mobile operators, VOD services on broadband portals, OEM partnerships and many more.
