Premji praises China for its administration at FICCI meet

China came in for much praise from IT czar Azim Premji for its excellence in administration at an executive committee of Ficci today. He predicted the future would witness the communist country roll out low-cost innovations to the global market.
"Don't underestimate China in terms of any opportunity that is coming up in the world," the Wipro chairman said while parrying questions at the event.
"And China is probably the best administered country in the world today," added Premji, who earlier delivered an address on 'Sustainability and Innovation'.
Premji said that China was doing some "incredible work" in the field of electric cars. He added that the country had a "very innovative" attitude with "fundamental R&D" in the solar energy space. He said that China was not just a "copycat".
He said that though China could boast of the largest copycat industry in the world worth almost $1 trillion, it has taken up work in several areas like software, automobile engineering and renewable energy as a national programme.
Premji said that China would increasingly cater to countries like India, Africa and even the US where customers were looking for high-value products that are cheaply priced.
