Tata Tele's Anil Sardana to succeed Prasad Menon as MD, Tata power

Consequent to the forthcoming retirement of Mr. Prasad R Menon on 31 January 2011.
Tata Power has appointed Tata Teleservices managing director Anil Sardana as managing director effective from 1 February, 2011, following the retirement of Prasad Menon.
Sardana has been the managing director of Tata Teleservices Limited for over three years and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited for the last 6 months. N Srinath, MD and CEO of Tata Communications will replace Sardana at Tata Teleservices and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd, with the added designation of CEO in addition to managing director.
An electrical engineer from Delhi College of Engineering, holds a cost accountant (ICWAI) and a post graduate diploma in management from Delhi, Sardana has over three decades of proven expertise in the power sector, having worked with companies including Tata Power subsidiary North Delhi Power Ltd, National Thermal power Corporation and BSES.
Sardana had earlier served at Tata Power as , business development and strategy, from 1 March 2007 to 3 August 2007 and continued to be on its board till 1 July 2008.
