K V L Narayan Rao is NDTV executive vice chairperson, Vikram Chandra CEO

NDTV has announced the elevation of of K V L Narayan Rao as executive vice chairperson and the promotion of Vikram Chandra as CEO.
Rso and Chandra are both old NDTV hands.
Ever since 1998, Narayan Rao has been spearheading the growth of NDTV; initially, for eight years, as executive director and for the last five years as CEO of the NDTV Group.
NDTV said in a statement, "He has guided the organisation admirably seeing it through difficult, competitive times and ensuring that it is now on an even keel with a brand and a reputation as India's leading media company.
Chandra has been with NDTV for 17 years and apart from being a news personality and anchor, he has also taken on corporate responsibility for several years. He headed NDTV Profit from its inception and led it to become a leading business channel.
"Chandra has been CEO of NDTV Networks where he demonstrated outstanding managerial, business and negotiating skills. His people skills and relationship building are well known, the NDTV statement said.
As CEO, Vikram will have overall authority and responsibility for all aspects of the company: corporate, operational and channel performance. He will become a member of the NDTV Board.
The two appointments were approved by the board of directors in New Delhi yesterday.
