Gurpratap Bopar succeeds Rajeev Kapoor as Fiat India CEO

Gurpratap Boparai will succeed Rajeev Kapoor as president and CEO of Fiat india Automobiles. Kapoor, who joined Fiat India in 2007, is retiring from the company. 

Boparai, who had so far headed the power train division of the company, joined Fiat India in 2007 as assistant vice president, manufacturing and powertrain division. He was appointed head of the division in 2009, responsible for business development and overlooking all the functions of power train plants.

He has over 20 years experience in the automobile sector and has worked with Telco, Ocap Chassis Parts Private Limited, Iveco and Tata Cummins Limited.
