Star TV Network expands US footprint, adds four channels

Star India, the wholly-owned subsidiary of News Corporation, has expanded its partnership with Comcast by launching four channels from its bouquet in two additional US markets - Washington, DC and the city of Philadelphia, PA.

The channels include its flagship Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) Star Plus, Hindi GEC Star One, Hindi news channel Star News and Bollywood movie channel Star Gold.

Prior to the expansion, Star channels were distributed by Comcast in multiple locations across the United States, including California, Georgia, Texas, Illinois, Florida and Washington State.

In addition, Star India's Star Plus, is now available on Comcast throughout its Colorado service area, including Denver and Colorado Springs.
