Mumbai: TAG Heuer, the famous watchmakers since 1860, known for its technological and sporting timepieces, has unveiled its first prestigious sports eyewear collection: Sport Vision.

The uniqueness of Sport Vision is the purity of its lines and the perfect integration of its components, creating the ultimate streamlined shape and is dedicated to the most demanding users.

TAG Heuer is distinguished by its unique positioning, born from the fusion of prestige, performance and avant-garde design. For Sport Vision, the avant-garde design is created by the famous British designer Ross Lovegrove.

The research and development undertaken for TAG Heuer Sport Vision lasted three years. A team comprising Logo SA engineers specialised in the optical industry and a consultant team for technology transfers were specially appointed to bring on the market the best performing eyewear product.

Technologies, processes and exclusive and high-tech materials, such as a titanium, magnesium and aluminium alloy were transferred from the aerospace and automobile industries to produce the ultimate combination of lightweight, strength and ergonomics.

TAG Heuer has also designed polycarbonate lenses, which are without a doubt among the finest available eye protection on the market. For example, the SV1 Watersports sun-lenses are scratch-proof, shatter-proof, polarised, fog and water-repellent to offer optimal vision in all weather conditions.

The uniqueness of the frames is that all components in contact with the face are made of a special composite rubber and can be adjusted to provide an ultimate individual comfort. Its great style and design prove Sport Vision to be certainly the most multipurpose eyewear whether at work, in sports or attending a prestigious social event.

Thanks to its aesthetic and technological qualities, the 'Physics' range from the Sport Vision collection has already received the Gold Medal Award for the Best Technological Innovation in Eyewear at the Salon International de la Lunetterie et de la Mode, in Paris as well as the Red Dot Award, one of the world's most prestigious design awards, where alongside with brands such as Mercedes Benz or Apple, Sport Vision earned one of the nine prizes awarded in the 'Product Design' category, among 4,000 candidates from 39 countries.

Oracle Racing and Chris Dickson, the famous yachtsman and skipper from New Zealand, have chosen Sport Vision as the official sunglasses to be worn during their 2003 America's Cup challenge, the oldest and one of the most demanding sporting trophies.

Sport Vision range is available at all major optical and retail stores across India.
