TVS Motors posts 23 per cent growth in November

TVS Motor Company has reported 23 per cent growth in November 2009, clocking total two wheeler sales of 120,844 units as against 98,402 units in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The company continued to post growth in sales for the eighth month in a row registering a cumulative 8 per cent growth with sales of 989,353 units in the current financial year up to November 2009 against 917,439 units in the same period last year.

The company's domestic sales saw a quantum increase of 38 per cent recording 106,836 units in November 2009 as against 77,491 in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The company's scooter sales rose 38 per cent at 25,115 units as compared to 18,210 units in the corresponding period of the previous year. The company's total motorcycle sales for November stood at 45,080 units as against 45,276 units in November 2008.

Exports of two wheelers stood at 14,008 units in November 2009 as against 20, 911 units in the corresponding period of the previous year.

In November, the company launched two new products, 110 cc motorcycle TVS Jive and 110 cc automatic scooter, TVS WEGO. TVS Jive features innovative T-Matic technology with rotary gear technology coupled and an automatic clutch.
