LinkedIn's new list of top places to work dominated by tech companies

LinkedIn recently released a list of the "Top Attractors'', which lists 40 most competitive companies to work for, where employees never want to leave.

Whether it was for great company, perks or the overall corporate mission, the list is dominated by tech companies, which comprised more than half the list.

These companies also took every spot in the top 10, with Google making it to number one.

The list includes:

6. Box

9. Pandora
10. Workday
11. Adobe
12. Netflix
13. Airbnb
14. Twitter

Meanwhile, Flipkart Inc was the number one company where young Indians want to work today. The company is also one of the first to offer six months of maternity leave and sabbatical options, pipping Google. According to LinkedIn, the global internet company ranked No 4 in India.

Both Flipkart and Google are among the top 25 most sought after employers in India.

According to LinkedIn data, the 25 top attractors were also the 25 best companies in India at attracting and keeping top talent. These were not the companies that were the ''best'' to work at, based on opinions and surveys, nor were they the companies that were the largest, based on revenues and profits.

Rather, LinkedIn's Top Attractors List compris companies where people most eagerly wanted to land jobs, and stay put there.

After Flipkart at number one, Amazon ranks at number two. According to LinkedIn data, applications for Amazon jobs were up 25 per cent since last year. The company offered excellent salaries and such perks as the Amazon Career Choice Program, which paid 95 per cent of tuition for in-demand fields. French multinational management consulting corporation Capgemini, came in at the third spot followed by Google.
