Škoda introduces Yeti 4x2 SUV

Škoda Auto India, a fully owned subsidiary of Volkswagen-owned Czechoslovakian Škoda Auto a.s., has introduced its SUV, Škoda Yeti in a 4x2 model.
Earlier in November 2010 it had introduced its first SUV Skoda Yeti 4x4 (See: ŠkodaAuto drives its SUV Yeti into India).
Positioned as an urban SUV along with the abilities to tackle off-road terrain, the Yet 4x2 was the most fuel efficient SUV in the country at 17.72 kmpl, Skoda said in a statement.
With the new model, Skoda has extended the Yeti range with a two-wheel-drive diesel option priced at Rs13.20 lakh ex showroom Maharashtra, compared to the Rs13.46-lakh price tag for 4x4 variant.
The new Škoda Yeti 4x2 also comes in the same two variants - Active and Ambition - like the 4x4.
Top propositions such as ESP, hill hold control and vario flex will be offered with the new 4x2 model, with further improvement in the car's segment-leading fuel efficiency.
