Aircel to launch BlackBerry services in India

Aircel is all set to introduce Blackberry services in India in partnership with Research In Motion.

With Redington as retail distribution agency, Aircel will launch BlackBerry services in the cities of  Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and rest of Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Acording to its chief operating officer, the company had accumulated good momentum, and BlackBerry services are to play a key role in its expansion.

Aircel chief operating officer Gurdeep Singh said, ''We have gained significant momentum in expanding our operations in India and the launch of the BlackBerry solution is of strategic importance for the company's growth.''

As part of the launch, Aircel will offer various BlackBerry smartphones including models like Bold 9000, Curve 8900 and 8310, and Pearl 8110.

 For companies with email servers, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server will allow operations with popular email applications such as Lotus Domino.

Part of the package will comprise BlackBerry Internet Service for individuals and small businesses.
