Apple’s iPhone X could reach ‘end of life’ in 2018
23 Jan 2018
In what could come as a big surprise, Apple's anniversary edition iPhone X could reach its 'end of life' as early as this year itself in view of the less than expected demand for the smartphone, which was launched only a few months back.
According to noted analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, Apple will instead focus on launching two new iPhones with a similar design – one featuring a 6.5-inch OLED display, and other featuring 6.1-inch LCD display.
Low demand apart, Kuo also claims that offering the Apple iPhone X at a discount this year was likely to eat into the sales of this year's upcoming iPhones. Discontinuation would make it the first time a new iPhone will not be available at a discounted price, ponce newer models are introduced.
