Chennai: BenQ, manufacturer of networked digital lifestyle devices, has launched a new media campaign. The campaign is the mainstay of a Rs.12-crore ad spend earmarked for brand promotion for 2004 and breaks with a teaser series featuring VJ Cyrus Broacha with myriad facial expressions. The teaser print advertisements centre on the theme ''changing expressions'' and aim to portray a unique camera phone feature.
BenQ, the fourth largest mobile phone manufacturer worldwide, entered the Indian mobile phone market in 2003. The new mobile model - a camera phone with a new twist - will take the company''s portfolio to a total of eight handsets.
BenQ has signed a one-year contract with Cyrus Broacha to exclusively promote BenQ''s IT and telecom products. During the course of the year, in addition to BenQ mobile phones, Broacha will be seen in advertisements of BenQ''s new MP3 player, the Joybee, and the company''s range of high-resolution digital cameras.
