Coca-Cola launches new Relentless variant drink
04 Mar 2009
Continuing with its "No Half Measures" strategy, Coca-Cola Great Britain is expanding its Relentless energy drinks portfolio with the launch of Relentless Juiced Energy Berry, which contains 50 per cent juice including strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant.
According to AC Nielsen, since its launch in 2006, the drink reached sales of £40 million for the 52 weeks ending 17 January. The energy drinks sector has grown by £72 million in the last year with Relentless accounting for 30 per cent of this growth.
Coca-Cola Great Britain said that with 80 per cent of Relentless' sales since launch being incremental to the sector, the brand is in rapid growth and is driving the phenomenal growth of the sector, being the leading energy drink brands in the sector.
Relentless' Juiced Energy Berry will build on the successful launch of 'Relentless' Juiced Energy Tropical last March and is set to further extend the profitability of this growing sector.
Relentless Juiced Energy Berry will be available in 12 x 500ml cases and will join the existing variants - Relentless Origin, Relentless Juiced Energy Tropical and Relentless Inferno.
Launched in February 2006, 'Relentless' has since established itself as an evolution in energy drinks offering top end performance, great value for money, and a new modern brand experience for GB consumers.
